Co-Founder Nathan Atkinson has featured in the Waitrose Weekend Magazine with other education campaigners looking at how important it is to teach children about what they eat and how that will help shape healthy habits for life.
A recent survey of food teachers in England by the British Nutrition Foundation found that 98% believe a food A Level should be reintroduced and the consensus among headteachers is that they want more food in the curriculum.
Commenting, Nathan said children can be resistant to traditional health messages such as the importance of eating five a day, so at Rethink Food we hook them through subjects they like instead.
“Children really connect with climate and sustainability. They want to know how they can help the planet.”
