Rethink Food’s 2025 Impact Report is here, capturing a year of growth, learning and real change alongside schools, communities, volunteers and partners across the UK.
In 2025, schools continued to sit on the frontline of child food insecurity. Through the National School Pantry Network, food redistribution, education programmes and partnerships, we’ve worked to ensure families receive not just food, but dignity, choice and support.
As co-founder Nathan Atkinson shares:
“This year reinforced what schools have been telling us for a long time, hunger is affecting learning, wellbeing and attendance every single day. The impact in this report belongs to schools, families and communities who refuse to accept that this is ‘normal’.”
Co-founder Kevin Mackay adds:
“What stands out most is the power of collaboration. From volunteers and businesses to teachers and young people, this impact only happens when people come together with a shared belief that everyone deserves access to good food and opportunity.”
Thank you to everyone who played a part in this work. We’re excited to build on this momentum as we look ahead to 2026.
