We’re delighted to announce that St John’s CofE Primary School in Manchester is our 2025 Eco Competition winner!
Their winning idea was a thriving school garden that teaches pupils about growing, harvesting, and reducing food waste, truly stood out for its creativity, long-term impact, and commitment to environmental education. The project will not only bring fresh produce into the school but also embed sustainability into everyday learning.

Although we’re announcing our winner a little later than planned, the energy and passion these schools have shown reminds us that every day is an opportunity to take action for the planet.

And the children added: “We are so excited to be your winners and thankful that we have the opportunity to make our own Eco-space in school. We are really looking forward to choosing plants for our relaxing new space and introducing it to our school and the wider community.”
