From headteacher to leading a national movement tackling food insecurity, our co-founder Nathan Atkinson recently featured on the Rangoli Radio Role Model Show, sharing the journey behind Rethink Food and the National School Pantry Network.

Rangoli Role Models is an empowering radio show that celebrates individuals making a real difference in their communities. It shines a light on unsung heroes, giving them space to share their stories, challenges and values, and to inspire others through honest conversation and lived experience.

In this episode, Nathan reflects on his time as a headteacher, the moment that sparked the creation of Rethink Food, and why schools are such a powerful place to support children and families facing food insecurity. He also talks about the importance of dignity, education and community-led solutions, and why tackling hunger is about more than food alone (oh and you might hear some Kylie Minogue too)!

It’s an uplifting and thought-provoking listen that highlights the power of leading by example and how one conversation can grow into a national movement for change.
